Genting Highland

Genting Highland with Family!

Overall rating: 3.5/5

Pros: Great rides, huge shopping mall.

Cons: SMOKERS are everywhere, good rides are very prone to weather.

Alrighty! This is my very first first first family holiday overseas trip. So since I've been waiting for 16 years for this day I must blog about this trip right?

[Day 1 - 6/12/07]

This is what you will get when the administrative process for checking in takes a long time (many photos i.e.)
^My act cool buay cool brothers and I.

Now ain't my cousins adorable?

After we checked into our suites, my family went to the arcade. The games available there was quite disappointing though. Nothing more or in fact less than what we have in Singapore.

Dinner! International Buffet at Coffee Terrance!

Initially I was super thrilled to see the place so huge and so many many variety of food to choose from. Just check out my 1st plate:
^There's satay, chinese mushroom and sotong, sashimi and chicken cutlet.
However, as soon as I bite my first mouthful, my excitement died off. LOL. The chicken was blardy hard and same goes for the satay! Fortunately, I just had issue with the meat. The sashimi was great! I loved the cream angelic hair too! There were fondue and ice cream for dessert too!

After dinner was probably my favourite activity - SHOPPING! Oh my, the shops there were great. I bought a T-shirt from Padini and a handbag from Girls. Hang around the First World Hotel and then made our way back to our suite. LOL. They were showing Harry Potter that night! Slept after that. ZzZ

[Day 2 - 7/12/07]
Day 2 was really bumpy but I'm glad it got bumpier later the day (you will know what I mean later).

Heaven must not be on my side, I thought. My family woke up only to find that it was still raining. Sigh. That means no outdoor theme park. So after breakfast I went to the ticket counter to buy the indoor family tickets. We thought that it's 75RM for family package but only to find that it's actually a peak period so 95RM. My Dad immediately fished out his wallet and paid for it! I was like so pissed because of his impulsivity. I mean so much for indoor rides is sooooo not worth it I tell you. But since he's already paid for it I can't say Halelujah chance and reverse things. HAI. Unwillingly I took the most stupid carousel rides (which I can't even sit on the horse because I am too heavy), The super ultra slow "Bridge of Love" boat ride, ferris wheel (which we got stuck because of technical problem), Reindeer ride and the super lame and baby train ride. I can't believe we paid 95RM to get tortured.

Lunch was probably my saviour. Pizza hut! The spagetti was nice! Mushroom soup! Excellante!

After lunch the day got bumpier in the good way! WHY? Because the rain has stopped and the sun is out! YAY.

Outdoor theme park here I come! and so I think I sat ALL the THRILLER rides. Yup, the Space shot (the one that goes vertically upwards), the cork screw (The roller coaster ride that goes around), Cyclone (a smaller roller coaster), the merry go round that you sit on a seat and it spins you as if you are going to fly out, the water slide (which was damn fun. Especially seeing my brother Jonathan's face after he slided down the slide), Mine train (which I sat with my Dad) and not forgetting the all time favourite by all ages - the Flying Dragon! But the first ride that we took was the least succesful and that is the Pirvate house or something. It was suppose to scare (i think) but instead even my 6 year old baby cousin wasn't frightened at all -_-'''

After that I went back pretty late with my Dad. Hehe. My Mom was like going to have heart attack when she found out I was going to ride the Space Shot! LOL. But I'm still alive Mom, don't worry man. So as we were making our way back to the hotel guess what?! I SAW ELVIN NG! MAN! I so wanted to take a photo with him but too bad my camera was with my Mom. -_-''' Lesigh!

After a maggie noodles dinner, we went to sit the bumper car! I saw Jia Yin there with her family!

Slept around 12am. zZz

[Day 3 - 8/12/07]

Woke up and went for bumper car ride again. I didn't sit on it this time but my Dad and Bros did. Did my final shopping and added a pair of sunglasses into my shopping bag (which included a Girls handbag and a Padini Authentics T-shirt). Breakfast was blardy scamming. 15RM for a plate of Wan Ton noodles! And check out my 8RM chee cheong fun:

^What was on the signboard.

^What it actually look like.

HOHOHO. I brought 200g of Famous Amos too! It was 16.90RM. Sheesh! But the smell was too irresistable!

Have to check out and have lunch after that. My aunt treated us to eat at a chinese restaurant. Thank you so much! The bus was delayed as usual for an hour. -_-''' Waited and waited and finally boarded the bus. Reached home at around 11.30pm!

*Home Sweet Home* The end.

so come on, tell me.
