Grad Nite 2007
Grad Nite 2007!
Time: 26/11/07 ; 5.30pm
Theme: Masquerade
Location: Rasa Sentosa Hotel

It's 2pm and everything starts getting messy. I had to get my hair and make up done by 4pm. But the good news is, everything would be done by my mom which also means it's $0 (excluding electrical bills)! Still, I feel that this grad nite have cost me even if it's little compared to others. Let me do the math, I've spent $** on my dress, $** on my shoes, $** on accessories, $** on my mini handbag and $50 on dinner, total about $200++ Everything on me had "diamonds" on it! YAY.

Ok let me move on to the night itself. I reached school slightly later than expected. YES. I had to bought the school pick up bus to get to Rasa Sentosa. And YES I know it's so not cool but we have to make the best out of everything right? I was frantically and trying very hard to keep my curls and makeup intact.

1 hour later, we have arrived at Rasa Sentosa. Took many photos with Helen, Devi, Rachel, Kash and Wan Ting. Felt quite of taking photos for the 1st 1 hour already and guess what? The actual party havent even started! Shrugs. I cannot believe soooooooooooooooooo many of the lucky draw prizes went to 4A! Only Wan Ting gotten a lucky draw prize from 4F. =S Oh well.

The food was pretty nice here and there, but I feel that the main carbo dish wasn't filling at all so it made the whole un-filling. But the butter prawns, fish and Shark's fins soup was superb!

I guess my biggest regret today is that I didn't really went around to take photos with as many people as possible. I guess I was just slow to realise that this may be the last time I'm seeing some of my classmates already. HAI. And my second biggest regret is tieing part of my hair up when I took photos with SJAB peeps. SHRUGS. I tied my hair up because the restaurant itself was so warm!

HERE ARE THE PHOTOS!

Crap Head and Matchsticks
Ok, the title just came out randomly out of my mind. Sounds cute actually.

Anyway, today was like my typical SJAB day again. I spent a good whole day in SJAB and get tan again.

10am - 11.30am : Meeting with Ms Ratna. Erm, some good news, some bad news.
11.30am - 2.30pm: Slack slack slack, because training doesn't start until 2.30pm. Had lunch at Macdonalds. Sze Him started this "conversation" which made Sir Shen Yang turned off and ran for the toliet! LOL. I tried the McCafe too. No comments about that.
2.30pm - 5.30pm: Training. In fact I planned today's training! Only Sir Shen Yang and Sir Choon Kiat could come down today. But no sweat 'cause I'm here to save the day (or made it worst)! I was in charge of footdrill ALL THE WAY and I'm blardy dark now. SHYT! The debrief I made was crap as well, sorry for the lack of juice.

Ok that sums up the training portion.

After training, I went home to ask if my family and I would be back from holiday by 8 Dec afternoon. Unfortunately, we won't be able! ARGH! I CANNOT ATTEND THE WONDERFUL ZPI. *Bids goodbye to free buffet* *Blow kisses to taking photos with my juniors in Number 1 uniform!* And oh ya! Sir CK is going to be the parade commander for the supporting contigent. Sigh, Sir CK, nevermind la, I think KSS make up most of the people in the supporting contigent. LOL.

What a pity.
so come on, tell me.

Excuses
I finally understand why I blog so much less than before. It's because of this inertia to get into blogger.com. With my constant disconnected internet connection and super lagging computer, I take about a hour to decide and reach this posting page. Sheesh! What a chore! Man, I cannot imagine how long it would take me to upload all the photos I have to share.

By the way, I'm thinking of developing some photos for my friends and classmates, and it's a lot I tell ya. So does anyone know where I can develop it at super low cost?
so come on, tell me.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Listen up peeps. I just remembered that I haven't upload the photos I've taken on the last couple of days in school. I will try my best to upload it as soon as possible alright?

Also, I would also like to make it clear that this blogskin is not made by me. I merely went to blogskin.com to download the codes and paste it here. I just don't have any ideas to make my own layout. Feel free to left any comments under this post!

Staff Sergeant Christine Tan reporting for duty!

Okay I'm going to blog pretty briefly for this camp. For more detailed posts you can refer to May (as a cadet) or Sze Him and Sok Ting's (as a senior NCO)

Now I'm going to narrate my adventures in this camp...

[Day 1: 16/11/07]

Surprisingly, I reached the school earlier than all of the Senior NCO and officers!
The rest of the day was like flooded with kerosene and sai kang. Carried heavy stuff, heavy bricks and reeked of kerosene. Initially, we thought that the firewood weren't well soaked with kerosene and was pretty afraid it won't burn well later. But it was hell wrong. As soon as the kerosene soaked ball came sliding down the firewood became an inferno! We had great fun watching all the skits and imitating the Mocca advertisement! Oh by the way, thank you TooCW and Yong Ting for inviting all of us to witness your magnificent wedding ah!
Went back home with Rashidah after campfire. Ya largely to bathe properly because of the really stinky kerosene and to keep the plugs and take my flip flop+ hiking bag.

[Day 2: 17/11/07]
Came back to camp by 7am.
Puala Ubin here we come!

I was paired with Rachel to 'take care' of Group 1 - the Beanbos! We took the doubles because Rachel did not have the license to ride a bicyle. But the thing was, I did not have the liscence to ride someone! LOL. So it's like we were bumping into people, losing our balance and the brakes were like so screwed up! So instead of looking after our assigned group, we were holding them back! I am so sorry! It got worst when both of us were happily "shooooooo-ing" down the steep slope and I couldn't control the brakes and we swerved to one side and crashed into the bushes on the side! Rachel said I flew out of the bike! My mistake turned out to do more harm to Rach than myself! I felt pretty ok when I was helped up by this NPCC girl. Other than slight concussion I pretty much couldn't feel any pain. On the other hand Rach was moaning with pain! I think she gotten like 7 contusions? Fortunately, we were able to get back on track soon. Oh Cookie Monster was there too! Fancy finding a Cookie Monster statue in Puala Ubin. Around 12++ we settled for a quick lunch. I would also like to take this oppotunity to compliment Group 1 for their great enthusiasm and the drive to complete the gruelling "marathon"! I guess that's the main reason why they emerged as the 1st team to complete this hike with an amazing timing of completing all 10 stations by 3.45pm!

It rained after lunch. It was then I felt a tingling pain on my fore arm. LOL. Didn't realised I had like many slashes on my arm, probably during the bad fall. Had a contusion on my knee as well. But heck, I used a huge plaster and just covered it up. The team refused to wear their ponchos as well! But it was damm shiok getting in touch with nature!

Sir Kenneth joined us at around the 8th station. Took over my job and rode Rachel! LOL. Then we went up to Chek Jawa. It was like super steep uphill and super steep downhill! Quite shiok la. Aisyah and Yan Rong saw a huge wild boar and Aisyah totally freaked out! I bought a can of Green Tea there to quench my thirst! YUM YUM. And oh! The last station, near the well, there was these 2 HAWT army boys under the tent who were like looking out for terrorist or something. Man. We wanted to take photo with them as part of the challenge. But they couldn't! What a pity! Arrived back at the BSB court and we taught Rachel how to ride a bicycle! Alamak! We should have taught her before we went for the hike! LOL.

Took the bus to Pasir Ris park! Wa Hoo! NIGHT WALK. Ok but it kinda a failure because none of the cadets were scared. Rashidah and I were fooling around with the glowing sticks la! Putting it on our eyes! FUNNY FUNNY. The OLD ONE was like a small boy playing with the glowing stick and dancing para para with it! LOL!!!!!!!!!! If only we managed to tape it! I'm sure you would laugh your ass out as well! Then we had a second round for those who weren't thrilled enough. This time, we took away all the glowing sticks! Yu Zheng was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! When Sir CK (aka Charlie) went to scare him he was like, WA LAO! WA LAO! WA LAO! FISH! FISH! Sooooooooo cute right? Amelia screamed when Sir CS went to startled her! The rest of the brave soldier saw through our pranks again...

Reached school at around 10.30pm. Sok Ting, Wei Ting and Beatrice went back home. The rest of us were beat and turned it after bathing.

[LAST DAY: 18/11/07]
Fire Drill at 4.30am. 2nd fire drill at 5am. It's sick for the cadets I tell you. Changed into Full U and got ready for promotion ceremony. Yan Rong got punk during the promotion ceremony! I think she nearly broke into tears when her name was not called up during promotion. LMAO. We had a special breakfast as well, special takeaway! Nice. Sir Derrick was like chanting, "I want coffee. I want coffee. I want coffee." for the whole morning. LOL. Photocopied the test papers for the cadets etc. Then we took a long break at the canteen with Sir CK. Chatted like damn much la. By the time we ate, there weren't any rice left! (The cadets must be hungry!) It didn't really matter to me but I think Sir CK really needed the rice. So in order to make up for the rice, he ate 10 CHICKEN WINGS! In 1 meal! LOL. Oh I think I ate like 12 chicken wings in this entire camp. Ya, I think SJAB should organise a chicken wing eating competition! LOL.

-Abrupt ending-
