ATC 2006! + FDI Day 2

OMG! I haven't been blogging for over a week now and I know that my readers are getting pretty annoyed when they come to my page and it's the same old' never changing post. OK. But behold, today I'm going toblog like stupid long to make it up!!!

[ATC DAY 1: 25/11/06]

CCO: Mdm Chen Yie

DO of the day: Mdm Aisuan

CSMs: Sok Ting, Aisyah and Cheung Weng

I along with, Sze Him, Sok Ting, Rachel and Cheung Weng didn't have to fall-in with the rest and go through all those bag check, pitching of tents, adminstration etc. Why?! Because we had FDI (Footdrill instructor course) on that fateful day. -_-''' Took Sok Ting's Dad's Car to HQ. We were uber early! Earlier than all the officers, earlier than Sze Him and Rachel! LOL. The Course started as usual, all the uniform check etc. Lecture on Swagger stick, practical on swagger stick. I just can't seem to "grabbed" hold of it! LOL!!!!! The officers gurantee must adjust for me when doing swagger stick drill. Anyways, I was looking forward for the next theory lesson so that we can enjoy the air con! Then blah blah blah.

Lunch was cool! We ate at Concourse. Rachel took Chicken (cutlet) while I took Pork (cutlet). Lala. All the officers and senior NCO of Kranji SS joined us! Nice. Crapped here and there.

After lunch it was Officers' MOI again. Did drills for over 4 hours then all the Secondary 2 and 3 trainees were seperated. HEHE. The Secondary 3s were took by Sir Jia Hong and Zhen Shun. It was darn farny! We were sitting in a circle then they gave us some tips on the MOI and stuff. Afterwards we proceeded to the carpack and Jia Hong Sir was like swiping his arms above Staff Wan Jun and said, "Wan Jun, where are you?!"(to hint that she's not tall). LOL. Then they started to tease Rachel as well. We also learned the movement of "Is there any questions? No questions? I shall continue." I feel as if we were hit by a Tsuami of lameness. Haha. Very soon our bus came to pick us up! Yipee! It's offically camp time...

Went back to school was given 1 or 3 mins to change out of my full U. Dinner time was alright. It was buffet style again!

After dinner was the Sec 3 games. There was the snake and blind mute and lame game (all cope from ANCO) as well as the classic night walk! I hope all the cadets enjoyed it! Sec 2s took over afterwards with loads of Community singing. I've got to highlight the "Kooabura" song. I just loved the layering of the song. Ok for the benefits of those who was not there, the Sec2s actually did a choir formation. The 1st row was all the girls followed by another row of girls and another row of girls and finally a row of guys! LOL. It was like Sprano and the whatever terms the choir uses.

Bunk check. What I'm most afraid of. We didn't do it very well on the first attempt. Sir Shen Yang started to throw some stuff onto the floor and pushed all our uniform cover onto the ground. The scenario was like, "Uniform cover drop?! ALL DROP!!!!". Gawd. It was scary. Kena pumped and yeah...

Lights off was at 12 mn for FDI personnels. Rachel was les-ing with me in the tent! First she touch my tummy then I push her hands off, then she did it again and I push it off again then the next thing I know, she was attempting to hug me! AHHH! HAHAH. "Di di dot dot oh!"

[ATC Day 2: 26/11/06]

DO of the day: Sir Choon Siong

There was fire drill around 5am.There was the promotion ceremony!!!! Most Sec1 and 2s favourite! LOL! A prank was pulled on Aisyah and the Sec1s. All of you deserved the rank ok? Don't worry. Morning PT was erm, very army (but still not as tough as ANCO). I, unfortunately fall-ed out because of the jumping jacks. Breakfast was alright I suppose. MILO ah! (Haha. TooCW and I were sharing with our group the experience Sir Kenneth had - He used a dummy swagger stick to stir Milo back in a combined camp in 2003! LOL)

Orientering was alright we only had like 2 hours to find all the check points so my group didn't manage to go to the Teck Whye side. That Yong Ruay ah, always don't abide traffic safety. Tsk tsk. We were quite early when we reached out last check point so we decided to take a nice break by sitting at the bench and eating all our biscuits and cake. Yum! Then suddenly I asked Rachel, "Hey, got points for being there the earliest or not?" Then Rachel was like, "OH YA HOR! I think so leh!" and so we cheong back to school. LOL. Was competiting with Geraldine's group.

Afterwhich it was Triage theory. Senior Yan Hsiang took over it. She ended her lesson early so we were given time to rest! LOL. Everyone was sleeping in the classroom. Then the "beep" went off. Fall-in everyone!

Lunch was field cooking! Lala. We had spagetti sauce and stuff. Cooked and it was left for the judges. We gotten second for our cutlenary skills! Good job everyone.

After lunch was casualty simulation. Wa, my make up effect really cannot make it. LOL. Looks like I haven't been doing much art nowadays. Hai.

Triage drill was up next. Totally sucks. It was 90% my fault that my Team got last for it. Shrugs. I keep thinking of the ANCO triage drill when we did it and it was totally to our disadvantage when we had to go be first aider first. I was once again totally discouraged by what Sir CS said later on after our 1 min break. *Shrugs*

Campfire preparation was gone case when Sir Shan Zhi started to punish us for our slow movement. We had to fall in here there and everywhere. Fall in our water bottles, name tag. Water bottles only. Nametags off. Oh gawd. But it's part of our training and I'm not complaining. Come to think of it I kind of like it. Tone a bit of my body. LOL! Mdm Chen Yie also made us run to the end to touch one of the coconut trees and fall in back within 40secs. "Shiok" man! We were given an additional task which was to create a tempo for a song. Ok blah blah blah. Dinner time. Mary surely drop something during meal time. HEHE. (Cross reference to later on). During meal time it's one of the many times my team will sit together a crap as well as to lecture our dear camp CSM,TooCW. Basically because we find that he was not shining enough as a Camp CSM. So to encourage him we created a catach-phrase - "Cheung Weng, be a man, do the right thang!". Haha! That night, the Dance club would be joining us for Campfire. The ball of fire went down from the third storey and weeeeeee the campfire was lighted up!!!! I have to admit my group was really high but it soon looked at if we were Zi High (English translation: Ownselves high) We saw skit from Team 1 and 2 first. Afterwhich my team had to teach part of the Finale Song. That part was really cold. Aw man. Then we did community singing. Which was cold again. I dunno if it's because everyone was shack by all the punishment or the because of the dying fire. Team 3 presented their skit and it was my group's turn. And it was tragedy... The CD could not play! It was a terrible bad day for my team. Really. Cut off all the bad memory in the end my group decided to sing out all the songs. I guess it was great! We had excellent team spirit alright! I was grateful that CCO gave us another chance and that Staff Jerilyn tried to help us loan a laptop. We fall-in right after that. If I'm not wrong we were given 35 mins to wash up. However, being kia si (English Translation: scared to die), majority did not bathe and gathered back at the canteen within 10-15mins. LOL. How efficient... Supper was plentiful. Manz. Courtesy of Mdm Chen Yie and her mom. The jelly was delicious and milo +ice and our "favourite" watermelon juice. I'm telling ya, after drinking that almost my whole group went to the washroom. Too much fibre le! Once again Mary never fails to drop her food. It was the last straw. Yan Rong was pissed. She went, "Margaret ah! (Swirling her head) You diao ni de shi wu! (Drop your food again!)". WAHAHA.

A sad news broke out afterwards then it was debrief and finally lights off. Light off: 1am.

[ATC DAY 1: 25/11/06]
DO of the day: Sir Choon Kiat

*Beep* (Long continuous blows)
Fire drill again?! I have no idea how I came out and everything. I only remembered that I was like a puppet being "hipnotized" to fall in. Really, no one in my tent remembered how we woke up. LOL. It was about 4am that time. The next thing I could remember was marching around the parade square, forming one straight line to collect pegs. I was scolding Yan Rong for playing with her torchlight. Cadets, just listen to what the seniors tell you, don't rebel.

Yay. I like the washing of tents part. But it would be better if everyone gets wet and wild! For the past 2 years never fail to get all drenched. A bit disappointed by this.

Do this, did that. Clean this, wiped that. Area cleaning as usual. Sir CK was being especially nice and didn't do any bunk check! LOL. Can you believe it?! I dropped some rice during lunch. Probably too tired, then dozed off during lunch. LOL. Most of my muscles actually recovered while slacking. LOL. It was so relaxing on the last day. We did the Finale cheer which sounded like music to my ears in the end. Did community singing again and Sir CK officially break the camp.

After camp:
Amelia: Choon Kiat! Choon Kiat! (No more Sir CK)

so come on, tell me.

FDI Lesson 1
YO*8, Christine in da house! It's time to blog some *tut*! Haha. Haven't really been blogging much these days. There's a lot of going-ons but I was just lazy to type. I guess today's pretty significant to blog about but first I will talk a lil on yesterday night.

8pm, I was on my bed waiting for the prefects exco to call me! They were supposed to call my HP at 8pm for a conference! RAH! (Haha. We are pretty nocturnal. We had meeting at Macs, 8pm-10pm last friday!). I was feeling super shack last time and nearly dozed off when Sze Him called me and ask if I wanna have a SJAB conference I told her, "HEHE. You guys hao zhi wei zhi ba". The phone call was cut off by Lynette, "Conference on Cang Ning's phone now!". I was like ALAMAK! I thought my phone. Sianz. Nevermind the conference ended after 1 hour when I decided to help SJAB that side. Apparently, Sir Kenneth, SY and Brandon were clubbing! LOL! And Sze Him told me this morning that Sir SY said,

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE READING PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH IS EXPLICT!

"Wa! Got pretty girls!" and Sir Brandon was like, "F*** la!".
Ok vulgar vuglar vuglar.

Anyways, the phone conference came to no discussion other than Rachel Bobby-ing. LOL. All my home's phone's bat fell flat so I decided to sleep after that. But I still haven't polish finish my boots and this goes on and on....

OK, moving on. Today! Woke up rather early because of FDI. Saw Rach's message that her Dad's fetching. But still, we had to be at CCK at 7am. Manz. I'm not getting enough rest, seriously and my Mom was trying to convince me not to go for today's training. Oh well. Then blah blah blah. We arrived like big movie stars manz. All the senior NCOs and officers looking. Although we weren't late but this was not a good sign. (Why? Because Sir Hakim said that by the NHQ rule we are not allowed to wear a jacket over unless taking a parents' car or taxi". Shrugs. They should just built the NHQ at CCK then they know our "xin ku". No use complaining le anyway).

Theory lesson from 8.30am-11.30am. Kind of boring but still bearable. I drank about 1 Litre of water during the lectures. Weird.

After lunch was practical under the big hot sun. I'm dying here. Stomachache, cough and tiredness = I requested to take a break. The officers dun seemed convinced. Which brings me to the point that today we were taught mostly all by other school's officers/NCOs. Hai. I miss KSS officers & NCOs!
FootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrill
FootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrill
FootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrillFootdrill
and more Footdrill. Until around 5pm.

Then we had debrief and final parade. Yippee! Next stop - HOME!

P.S: WE GOT IN! For the Zone Presentation skit. The Sec2s are so high over it. Good jobs guys!

P.S.S: I got a photo of Cheung Weng acting shuai! LOL. But I still dunno how to transfer picture from HP to Comp. -_-'''

P.S.S.S: Doreen is going to appear on INS2 later!
so come on, tell me.

Long time no see...
Hello peeps. Haven't been blogging religiously. Eruph! This holiday is so yadiloh (that is the opposite of "holiday"). OMG. We have supplementary lessons and after that we have trainings if not rehearsal if not homework. I haven't even went to Vivocity! So more about today:
1. Walking lunch. Ate Nasi Lemak with Sze Him and Wei Shan. We were rushing big time for the Hwa Chong I "tuition". In the end I didn't attend it. They seem so intimidating. OH WELL.

2. Streaming results day. Many tears were shed and some were gasping for air due to shock while there are others who were simply elated over their courses. I was pretty surprised tt Aisyah and TooCW didn't got into triple science! LOL. I kind of thought they were really "sciency". Oh well, they have raised the bar again I suppose.

3. Training. Ok training was fine so-so nothing special, nothing much.

4. Prefect meeting at Macs at 7.50pm!!! LOL! This is the latest meeting I actually had. Quite cool though. Now my eyes are feeling dry and I still got to go HQ tommorrow morning. GRANT ME MORE SLEEP!
so come on, tell me.

Knraji Open House 2007
Today's Kranji Open House and I suppose the response was quite good. Was in school early in the morning, around 7.30am. Supposed to spray the SJAB flag with Rachel, but end up no SJAB room key, need to wait for TooCW. Helped a little in set up then went over to leadership booth, complete setting it up (continuing from yesterday). Blah blah blah. I was the first to take the families on a tour. It was fine. I've got to say, only kiasu parents will go for the open house right?! My parents didn't even pay any attention to any school's open house, we just see proximity as well as the PSLE cut-off points. So whatever it is, I took about 50mins to bring 1 family around! RAH! There were so many interactive booths and I was quite impressed by the Secondary 1 project works. Good job!

I was informed last minute that I will be going to SV primary school to 'sell' our school and so I agreed. Lunch was sponsered by Mr Andy Kong. 10 bucks for Devi, Dion and I! LOL. We went to buy the food from the PSG, which will eventually go to the school fund. LOL!
Set off at around 11.45am. Took Mr Zanial's car to SVPS. We were assigned to a classroom at level 3 and we set up blah blah blah. Parents came streaming in and I was attending to some students when Mdm Lee 'popped in'. Oh gawd. I made the stupidiest move, I went to say, "yeah hi!" to Mdm Lee. OMG. And I should know how picky she is in terms of respect. WA LAO. As if the previous lesson was not humiliating and painful enough. She's probably scolding me in her heart and trying to find a time when I can take a breath to scold me. ARGH! Hope she forgets it, hope she forgets it, hope she forgets it. I think I did convinced many parents about the merits of the school, so clap please! Devi and Dion did well too! Hai. I hope our hardwork will pay off when the next secondary one batch comes in. We met fierce competition from Swiss, Bukit Batok as well as BPGH. Oh manz.
2 really adorable SVPS girls actually took Devi and my signature (since our faces were on the brochure). It was really hilarious. How to be Paris Hilton for 1 day.
Apart from all these nonsense, my legs were really aching hard at the end of the day (we ended the latest - 4.45pm). It was worst than a day of footdrill. Sat in Mac for over 1hour with Devi. Crapping time...

P.S: Dion's Dad have a mole like him! WAKAKA!

P.S.S: Get our autograph while stock last!
so come on, tell me.
