OMG! I haven't been blogging for over a week now and I know that my readers are getting pretty annoyed when they come to my page and it's the same old' never changing post. OK. But behold, today I'm going toblog like stupid long to make it up!!!
[ATC DAY 1: 25/11/06]
CCO: Mdm Chen Yie
DO of the day: Mdm Aisuan
CSMs: Sok Ting, Aisyah and Cheung Weng
I along with, Sze Him, Sok Ting, Rachel and Cheung Weng didn't have to fall-in with the rest and go through all those bag check, pitching of tents, adminstration etc. Why?! Because we had FDI (Footdrill instructor course) on that fateful day. -_-''' Took Sok Ting's Dad's Car to HQ. We were uber early! Earlier than all the officers, earlier than Sze Him and Rachel! LOL. The Course started as usual, all the uniform check etc. Lecture on Swagger stick, practical on swagger stick. I just can't seem to "grabbed" hold of it! LOL!!!!! The officers gurantee must adjust for me when doing swagger stick drill. Anyways, I was looking forward for the next theory lesson so that we can enjoy the air con! Then blah blah blah.
Lunch was cool! We ate at Concourse. Rachel took Chicken (cutlet) while I took Pork (cutlet). Lala. All the officers and senior NCO of Kranji SS joined us! Nice. Crapped here and there.
After lunch it was Officers' MOI again. Did drills for over 4 hours then all the Secondary 2 and 3 trainees were seperated. HEHE. The Secondary 3s were took by Sir Jia Hong and Zhen Shun. It was darn farny! We were sitting in a circle then they gave us some tips on the MOI and stuff. Afterwards we proceeded to the carpack and Jia Hong Sir was like swiping his arms above Staff Wan Jun and said, "Wan Jun, where are you?!"(to hint that she's not tall). LOL. Then they started to tease Rachel as well. We also learned the movement of "Is there any questions? No questions? I shall continue." I feel as if we were hit by a Tsuami of lameness. Haha. Very soon our bus came to pick us up! Yipee! It's offically camp time...
Went back to school was given 1 or 3 mins to change out of my full U. Dinner time was alright. It was buffet style again!
After dinner was the Sec 3 games. There was the snake and blind mute and lame game (all cope from ANCO) as well as the classic night walk! I hope all the cadets enjoyed it! Sec 2s took over afterwards with loads of Community singing. I've got to highlight the "Kooabura" song. I just loved the layering of the song. Ok for the benefits of those who was not there, the Sec2s actually did a choir formation. The 1st row was all the girls followed by another row of girls and another row of girls and finally a row of guys! LOL. It was like Sprano and the whatever terms the choir uses.
Bunk check. What I'm most afraid of. We didn't do it very well on the first attempt. Sir Shen Yang started to throw some stuff onto the floor and pushed all our uniform cover onto the ground. The scenario was like, "Uniform cover drop?! ALL DROP!!!!". Gawd. It was scary. Kena pumped and yeah...
Lights off was at 12 mn for FDI personnels. Rachel was les-ing with me in the tent! First she touch my tummy then I push her hands off, then she did it again and I push it off again then the next thing I know, she was attempting to hug me! AHHH! HAHAH. "Di di dot dot oh!"
[ATC Day 2: 26/11/06]
DO of the day: Sir Choon Siong
There was fire drill around 5am.There was the promotion ceremony!!!! Most Sec1 and 2s favourite! LOL! A prank was pulled on Aisyah and the Sec1s. All of you deserved the rank ok? Don't worry. Morning PT was erm, very army (but still not as tough as ANCO). I, unfortunately fall-ed out because of the jumping jacks. Breakfast was alright I suppose. MILO ah! (Haha. TooCW and I were sharing with our group the experience Sir Kenneth had - He used a dummy swagger stick to stir Milo back in a combined camp in 2003! LOL)
Orientering was alright we only had like 2 hours to find all the check points so my group didn't manage to go to the Teck Whye side. That Yong Ruay ah, always don't abide traffic safety. Tsk tsk. We were quite early when we reached out last check point so we decided to take a nice break by sitting at the bench and eating all our biscuits and cake. Yum! Then suddenly I asked Rachel, "Hey, got points for being there the earliest or not?" Then Rachel was like, "OH YA HOR! I think so leh!" and so we cheong back to school. LOL. Was competiting with Geraldine's group.
Afterwhich it was Triage theory. Senior Yan Hsiang took over it. She ended her lesson early so we were given time to rest! LOL. Everyone was sleeping in the classroom. Then the "beep" went off. Fall-in everyone!
Lunch was field cooking! Lala. We had spagetti sauce and stuff. Cooked and it was left for the judges. We gotten second for our cutlenary skills! Good job everyone.
After lunch was casualty simulation. Wa, my make up effect really cannot make it. LOL. Looks like I haven't been doing much art nowadays. Hai.
Triage drill was up next. Totally sucks. It was 90% my fault that my Team got last for it. Shrugs. I keep thinking of the ANCO triage drill when we did it and it was totally to our disadvantage when we had to go be first aider first. I was once again totally discouraged by what Sir CS said later on after our 1 min break. *Shrugs*
Campfire preparation was gone case when Sir Shan Zhi started to punish us for our slow movement. We had to fall in here there and everywhere. Fall in our water bottles, name tag. Water bottles only. Nametags off. Oh gawd. But it's part of our training and I'm not complaining. Come to think of it I kind of like it. Tone a bit of my body. LOL! Mdm Chen Yie also made us run to the end to touch one of the coconut trees and fall in back within 40secs. "Shiok" man! We were given an additional task which was to create a tempo for a song. Ok blah blah blah. Dinner time. Mary surely drop something during meal time. HEHE. (Cross reference to later on). During meal time it's one of the many times my team will sit together a crap as well as to lecture our dear camp CSM,TooCW. Basically because we find that he was not shining enough as a Camp CSM. So to encourage him we created a catach-phrase - "Cheung Weng, be a man, do the right thang!". Haha! That night, the Dance club would be joining us for Campfire. The ball of fire went down from the third storey and weeeeeee the campfire was lighted up!!!! I have to admit my group was really high but it soon looked at if we were Zi High (English translation: Ownselves high) We saw skit from Team 1 and 2 first. Afterwhich my team had to teach part of the Finale Song. That part was really cold. Aw man. Then we did community singing. Which was cold again. I dunno if it's because everyone was shack by all the punishment or the because of the dying fire. Team 3 presented their skit and it was my group's turn. And it was tragedy... The CD could not play! It was a terrible bad day for my team. Really. Cut off all the bad memory in the end my group decided to sing out all the songs. I guess it was great! We had excellent team spirit alright! I was grateful that CCO gave us another chance and that Staff Jerilyn tried to help us loan a laptop. We fall-in right after that. If I'm not wrong we were given 35 mins to wash up. However, being kia si (English Translation: scared to die), majority did not bathe and gathered back at the canteen within 10-15mins. LOL. How efficient... Supper was plentiful. Manz. Courtesy of Mdm Chen Yie and her mom. The jelly was delicious and milo +ice and our "favourite" watermelon juice. I'm telling ya, after drinking that almost my whole group went to the washroom. Too much fibre le! Once again Mary never fails to drop her food. It was the last straw. Yan Rong was pissed. She went, "Margaret ah! (Swirling her head) You diao ni de shi wu! (Drop your food again!)". WAHAHA.
A sad news broke out afterwards then it was debrief and finally lights off. Light off: 1am.
[ATC DAY 1: 25/11/06]
DO of the day: Sir Choon Kiat
*Beep* (Long continuous blows)
Fire drill again?! I have no idea how I came out and everything. I only remembered that I was like a puppet being "hipnotized" to fall in. Really, no one in my tent remembered how we woke up. LOL. It was about 4am that time. The next thing I could remember was marching around the parade square, forming one straight line to collect pegs. I was scolding Yan Rong for playing with her torchlight. Cadets, just listen to what the seniors tell you, don't rebel.
Yay. I like the washing of tents part. But it would be better if everyone gets wet and wild! For the past 2 years never fail to get all drenched. A bit disappointed by this.
Do this, did that. Clean this, wiped that. Area cleaning as usual. Sir CK was being especially nice and didn't do any bunk check! LOL. Can you believe it?! I dropped some rice during lunch. Probably too tired, then dozed off during lunch. LOL. Most of my muscles actually recovered while slacking. LOL. It was so relaxing on the last day. We did the Finale cheer which sounded like music to my ears in the end. Did community singing again and Sir CK officially break the camp.
