Yo everyone! I'm back yesterday from my Leadership Camp 2006! Yes, it's sort of a Sec3 camp when you bond with your classmates and stuff. So I went to the camp (following Jing Ying's advice) and try to really make friends with my classmates
lor. Haha. This time we are camping at CDANS (now known as Home Team NS). Well, I had to take care of my sec 1 class first (Class 1E!) before I head for camp. It was cool though. Get to be Peer Leader! What can I say about 1E? They are really noisy and active just like my batch
de Sec 1E. LOL.
[Day 1]
Ok so we headed for camp like at 10.45am while the rest went like 2hours earlier than us. At first I thought that we could run away from pitching the tents and stuff. Apparently not. They were in the Lecture Hall the whole time! Ahhhhhhhh! Ok whatever it is I was in Orange Group E/21. My facilitator was Dan. So ya, continue lecturing on leadership etc. After which we had our lunch! It was YUMMY! Bee Hoon with nice other stuff! Then after somemore lecture we finally proceeded to the chalet area! Brings back memories man, when I've been there for High Element. It was so
kewl when I saw Alex and the other F.I.T trainer who helped us through the other time for high element! This time we go for low element! Did low wall , pass through the tyre and river crossing etc. It was really fun! Then we headed to the basketball court for more activities. Played the make a shape while blind folded game followed by Murderer. I was the Dectective once and caught Xiao Qian! HOHOHO! Then we played another interesting game which goes something like you have to say the name of the person then u throw the ball to that person. The ball cannot touch the ground nor bounce. Then when we finally completed level 1 we continued with level 2. Meaning you have to throw the ball twice to the same person. There was this time when I actually threw the ball once and squat down, forgetting that I have to catch the ball one more time! AHHH!
Sabo-ed the whole team! We didn't manage to complete level 2 but too bad
la, it started to rain and we had wet weather program. As for the wet weather program, there was a Frisby Captain competition among the classes. It's something like Captain's Ball but you use frisby this time
la. My team scored a total of 0 point for the game! HAHAHA. However, we gotten 30 points for being the 1st to start cheering for other team! Woo hoo! After that we went to have a bath and learnt that my team is sleeping under Chalet 1. Yeah. Some actually got to sleep in the chalet but nevermind
la. We had dinner and at the same time we had some briefing and stuff. Cleaned up myself too. Had C.A.R.E profile training at the function room and learnt that I'm an Advancer! HAHA. Did a straw challenge and our team kinda won. Had supper then turned in. Didn't really slept well 'cause my bunk was the Food HQ and in the middle of the night people actually went there to get a drink and living above us were the facilitators. So they had meetings in the middle of the night which really disturbed us. But not much harm done
la, no worries.
[Day 2]
Woke up like 6.45am in the morning. Washed up and had breakfast. Today was all about lectures. All basically about Service Learning. *Yawn* Watched Da Chang Jin and had to do reflections. We also got a chance to get out of camp and went to IMM to "observe our community". They gave us $4 to have lunch (woo hoo!) and I went to have lunch with Helen, Wan Ting and Kash at KFC. Moving on, we went to the HDB flats nearby to see what they lack of etc. Didn't really get any inspiration for my project. Headed back and it was bathing time! Wa. First time I bathe in camp man! LOL. We could use the swimming pool toliet which was absoulutely great! However, when we were all done, it was pouring outside the toliet and we can't get back to the campsite! Ahhh. Then we were like stranded there and no one came to our rescue. As we finally try to make our way back to the campsite, we met the Green Team facilitators. They called us to go to the function room to wait and so we did. Trapped inside for some time and the rain finally got smaller. We gathered back at the function room again for the serviec learning project. We broke up into our groups and had a mentor assigned to us! His name was Hale from RJC (smart eh?) and he's really great
la. Played an ice breaking game which we had to write down 3 things which are true about you and 1 false thing about you and your group members'll have to guess which was it. Well mine went something like:

love SHE 2) My favourite program is CSI
3) I like website designing
4) I don't owe any pets
*The one is bold is false.
Then when it was Syarif's turned he said something then blah blah blah "I have a girlfriend" so obviously all of us don't believe that he has one. But it was true! Because all his female friends are his girlfriend! Ahhh! HAHA. After that we went to the theatre to watch Pay It Forward. I knew many fell asleep but oh well, we were tired right? After that we had some more reflections to do. There was actually 1 part with pornography but they cut it la and this guy came along and said something about us being really excited to watch it (I have no idea what he was talking about because I was in the toliet then). Cang Ning explained herself which was kinda an awkward situation. So ya. Later part Dan was saying something like, "You won't want a guy to come forward to you during your wedding and say, 'Hey, I do that thing with your wife before leh' right?" LOL. I found it really amusing when he said that. So we had our normal night routine, have supper and go to sleep.
[Day 3]
Had a rather nice sleep and woke up around 7am? Could have slept for longer but don't want to be a lazy pig
la. LOL. Had breakfast and cleaned up our bunk. We were one of the fastest to clear up so we decided to help the rest around. Everything went smoothly and we gathered at the carpark and proceeded to the Hall. In the hall we were suppose to confirm our project for Service Learning. Hmm. I didn't really have much time to think nor was I hit with any inspiration. No matter what it was, I really hope our project'll go well. Yu Zheng and I did the 1min presentation and I think it went alright. When all the groups were done we watched Mr Holland and had tea break at the same time (kinda treated like a queen!). Yarh. The 2 groups selected to present to the whole cohord was from 3B and 3A. Haha. I really like their idea so they really deserved the clappings! Ok so before we break camp, we have our prize presentation! My team gotten 3rd overall in the orange group and I gotten the Outstanding Camper Award.
Aiyo. So I had to go on the stage and do the clapping thingy with all the Orange Facilitators. LOL. I think I had the most un-style walk up the stage. So
pai sei. Haha. Rushed back home eventhough I really wanted to stick around and talk but I got another prize waiting for me to collect
ma!
By the way, I really loved the Orange Group cheer! =)
